I wonder if this means I could apply for a grant to buy (or at least rent) equipment to remove/mitigate fuel on my land and neighboring properties?

I borrow my neighbor's tractor to mow near my house, but he doesn't want it used on my back acreage - which I agree with. Would be nice to have something to mow brush on that back acreage though. At this point I can't afford to rent, much less buy that equipment. There is an adjoining neighbor who has not managed some of his property that adjoins mine and there is significant Scotch broom grown up there which should be removed.

For those that are interested in thinning their forest land, and have over 5 acres and a forest management plan, the USDA also has the EQIP program.
