There are plenty of threads out there on the subject, and so I hate to make another one. However, it seems flashlights are a constantly changing thing, with new models coming out, and the ones people recommended in the past, no longer produced.
It's been frustrating seeing someone recommend a $50 flashlight that sounds promising, only for it to be selling for $200 because it's discontinued
So can anyone recommend me an EDC flashlight that meets the following criteria:
1. High lumen count. I want something that is going to (temporarily) blind anyone who gets blasted by it. The higher the better, while also staying within my price range, which leads me to...
2. Under $70. I know this is a tall order for what I'm asking for, but given prior discussions, I think it can be done.
3. A common battery (AA, AAA) would be nice, but is not entirely necessary, as long as I'm not going to need to buy my battery from some specialty site.
4. Available online or in the Portland area. I'm driving through Portland on Monday, and would be willing to stop if someone knows a good place to look, otherwise, it's probably Amazon for me.
Optional: I don't NEED it to be strong enough/built to bash some wrongdoer over the head with it, but that would obviously be a bonus.
I also would like it relatively small. Either pocket carry or some holster carry. I obviously don't want to lug around some monster.
Any help would be great!
