I don't recall which podcast, but it was mentioned, you can't change a Constitutional right by vote. It has to go through congressional process. Of course, if the courts don't follow the constitution, what good is it?

The Oregon Supreme Court is the end of the line in this case, with a stop at the Oregon Court of Appeals. This lawsuit is strictly based on violations of the Oregon State Constitution. Can't go to the 9th.

You're reading it as if he is saying this case only will go to scotus. I read it as the issue will make it to scotus. The fed judge has blatantly thumbed her nose at scotus and ignored precedents in bruen, Macdonald, Heller. She is making great effort to justify her anti-gun crusade, likely with help from CA 9th.

Correct, you can't vote away a right guaranteed by the constitution. Only an amendment to the constitution can change it. That's why in the long run this will go to scotus and will fail. Fortunately the lawyers who won bruen are on the OSSA/NSSA/NRA case.
