Got this from the other thread going on this. He!! Yeah!!!!

So then. Rrrrrright......it's NOT over yet.

Aloha, Mark
It's never over. If the appeal fails, the next set of new gun laws will include something very similar. If it succeeds, the next set of gun laws will include something even worse.

You can bet the Left will not rest. This will never be over. We can definitely count on more BS from them.
Keep yer powder dry.
Absolutely 100% true. But...hopefully it takes the wind out of their sails for a bit. Now they know not everyone is friendly to their anti-gun agenda.

I'm expecting them to keep right on going. In WA, they kept trying to pass ridiculous laws every year until they finally started passing. Next year they're going after state preemption.

It's very likely that all this means is that LEVO'S people and Oregon anti2A politicians need to rewrite what they want to mean, to pass "scrutinity" and to make it harder for Judges like Raschio to rule unconstitutional... as well as very likely take the Illinois example and mandate that all Ballot Measures/SB/HB challenges take place in the County that BMs originates (Multnomah et al), or in Marion (SB/HB laws) at the exclusion of all other counties.

There are a couple levels of appeal available to the state, and legislative action as well, to overcome this defeat they suffered. You can bet the game is not over.
Remember, even though the legal fees that were ordered reimbursed to the plaintiffs in this case will be paid by the state with tax money (a good investment of taxes for a change, as opposed to the states wasteful cost of standing up for this messy measure), and the state has plenty more of that money, crushed from us under the state's boot, to rustle up as hefty a law as they now think they can write and keep.

This state needs a turn around in voters if we don't want to fight tooth and nail for our rights in every election going forward. A simple thing you can do that helps is to introduce someone to guns and shooting. The more people are educated about how ridiculous these laws are the better we hold the antis back!

Agreed ... been working on this very thing.

Meanwhile, us WA folk still got f***ed royally with 1240 and the mag ban which still has litigation pending on those matters. I firmly believe the left would write off the 2A if they could, but that pesky thing called the Constitution gets in their way, or at least makes it more difficult to do their BS. Good to see the pro 2A ruling in OR nonetheless, so there is a glimmer of hope for us gun owners.

There are too many supposed gun owners who don't seem bothered by the hampering of gun rights. They probably own a 1911 and a hunting rifle or shotgun and think that's all you need to own. They think we can negotiate with anti gunners by just letting them have the big bad scary stuff. Most people new to guns go buy a pistol that probably comes with a larger than 10 round magazine. It's the people that you expect to vote your side that secretly go against your rights on the ballot. They also need to be educated...
