A gun writers opinion, just as useless as every other gun writers opinion I have ever read.

Possibly you may like to broaden your reading horizon.
Here is my opine of a few "gun writers" I have found useful over the years and gleaned much history, technical knowledge, and other usefull value from:
Elmer Keith, Warren Page, Jack O'Connor, Colonel Townsend Whelen, Captain Paul A Curtis, Bill Jordan, John R. Sundra. Even Colonel Cooper should you care to wade through a little sanctimony and stick to the facts offered.(that may apply to O'Connor too).
An incomplete list to be sure with a few modern folk able to be added.
