I don't think many of them (not "all") necessarily have a different set of principles, but rather they are able to see the bigger picture and don't allow themselves to be bothered by what other people do. I highly doubt most of this country cares about the trans issue or abortion as much as some on the Right want us to believe that they do. It doesn't mean that they necessarily agree with it, they just don't care.I guess to clarify my point; the GOP exists to support, advance, and represent a specific platform. If any part of that platform happens to piss people off, then changing said platform to appease those people would mean the GOP is no longer the GOP.
The GOP pisses anti-2A people by supporting the 2nd Amendment right? Should they change that or stick to their guns?
I'm not disagreeing that the GOP may end up running itself into extinction by sticking to specific values, but I'd rather see that than them no longer actually following their platform and kowtowing to the "pissed" off people who have an entirely different set of principles.
No, the LGBT isn't coming for your kids, and nobody is going to abort your wife's or daughter's fetus when she's in labor. Take a breath and go for a walk.
I really don't care what trans people or women do with their bodies or with THEIR OWN kids. I can't control that. What the GOP can control is: border security, enforcing laws where Liberals fail, addressing the inflation, confronting China (should have been doing this years ago), getting us back to energy independence, and figuring out what we're going to do about the war in Ukraine. Not losing elections because they want to control other people's lives.....that never works.
