I prefer Weaver mounts instead of picatinny rails on lever actions especially with wood stocks. I would like to see: move the mag release to the bottom and large loops.

The Henry Supreme (HO23) is expected to go on sale around March according to Shot Show presenters, so not available yet. It will be offered initially in .223/5.56 or .300 blackout, so the latter will be ideal for firing suppressed. It has a new short-throw linkage that prevents the lever action from interfering with the mag. It is designed to take PMags native from the factory. This is one of the limits on The Long Ranger model (also in .223/5.56); it is limited to a "short" mag (5 rnd is provided) as the lever would hit longer magazines (which currently are only sold as an aftermarket kit). The Long Ranger is similar to the Browning BLR, in this regard; whereas, the Supreme will be closer to the POF Tombstone, except chambered for .223/5.56 or .300 bko. While unconfirmed, it is not a far stretch to see latter releases chambered in .308/7.62. I expect Henry will have a hard time keeping the Supreme in stock, since lever guns are the new hotness and .300 bko is the darling of defensive loads. I certainly hope it does well. I love my Homesteader and was seriously looking at the Long Ranger. Guess I'll have time to save my pennies, since I imagine they are going to be out-of-stock as soon as they're released. :)
