So what happens when Mexico nationalizes all of plants, property and other assets of US based companies? But why stop there; let's expand that to European companies too...

I travel to Mexico frequently for business and I'm pretty safe on saying that the productive members of Mexican society aren't enthusiastic about this turn of events.

Sounds like they need a dose of freedom.

please ......its not the Donald you need to complain to about the wall.......... its the obstructionist democrat party and all the people that vote democrat

The working theory I'm subscribing to right now is that after the new SCOTUS appointment and midterm elections President Trump will site his constitutional responsibilities to defend the states and order the military to the border in force.

A significant part of that will be building a wall and security zone with defense funds. It would certainly be challenged but here it is in black and white:

Article 4 Section 4
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

Mexico has been in need of a reboot and strong constitutional republic for well over a century. The people I've come to know over the last dozen years are wonderful and they deserve better.

Invading hordes need not be in uniforms, or be armed to be dangerous - sheer numbers, disease, and whatever they smuggle in with them is a threat to our security and safety, and to our economy.

That is bizarre, even by the standards of México. As bad as our governance can be, the one south of the border has been chaotic since time immemorial. Beyond this news, I'm sure electing another Socialista from the PRI is going to work out nothing short of fantastically for everyone.

It appears to be true, multiple news outlets have this story, and not just firearms related ones (Newsweek has it). I'm fine with it. If a cop can't be bothered to get enough practice to pass his or her firearm qualification, they shouldn't be carrying a gun. They probably shouldn't be a cop either, but that's a separate problem.

For Mexicans... I actually like this guy more then one of his detractors: Fox, who was a typical globalist in everyone's pocket. Haven't studied up on it that much but at passing glance he seems legit to me. Also lets keep in mind that America is THE super power in a violent and competitive world, this is something that takes constant work. Operation fast and furious and the brilliant creation of the "State"(read:nation) of Isreal comes to mind. And it's like counting deer in the wild, for every one you see there are a number of them you don't see...

The Mexican military has been gearing up also, as these leaked photos show.

A steel ball bearing fired from a good slingshot could leave quite the welt. Just saying.
Future article: Mexican police armed with squirt guns. Mexican police in the town of Alvarado had their slingshots taken away and replaced with squirt guns after they failed to maintain proficiency with the weapons...

Slingshots...

You literally can not make this stuff up.

This world we live in man!

the cartel rules mexico.

what it comes down to is even if the mexican police had guns theyre still owned and out numbered by the cartel. everyone wants to get paid one way or another.
