If only they had paid memberships whereby an issued card was necessary for entry none of this would have happened.

o snap
Actually, the Bimart cards are required in most of the in-city locations. Outside of the "city limits" it's a crap shoot.
I look to see that become universal when Eugene corporate processes their liability concerns. Frankly, I detest having to go through that recarding ritual every time I forget to have my card in my wallet. And they always seem to have their most anal employee manning the swing gate (checkpoint charlie).
" Buh Buh but, I just wanted to pick up the family sized bag of jerky".

If that's a chronic problem, stick with non-membership stores.

I certainly would and do, but a 45 minute excursion one-way to get to a store out of the DMZ is a bit extreme to do on a regular basis. (ie post # 21)

I don't mean to say that Bimart isn't a decent place to shop. I just can see the next thing coming out of their Corporate office. While walking the pavement last year, trying to pass out anti IP-114 flyers on non BiMart property, they were less than supportive of our efforts.

Thank you. My suspicion is a random ATF or some other alphabet agent thought this, said it to someone, and then it grew legs on the internet. The case law for using deadly force on fleeing felons is very mature and several elements need to be present. It is restrictive for LEOs and exceptionally restrictive for non-sworn citizens.
How unfortunate.

I believe Bi-Mart is not going to engage in political issues if possible. That's just my take on it.

I am not sure how that played out, but possibly they were worried, if that got traction, the Hippos for Herpes crowd could show up as well.

I've never seen anyone from Scouts to people giving away puppies set up on their property.

Few large stores want to get involved with this stuff for easy to see reasons. A good example is Jordan. He is a huge liberal but you don't see him making it public. When someone asked him one time why he said because the other side buys shoe's too.

My son-in-law once said, "Business and Politics don't match". While most of my customers are conservative, not all are.
