Holding a semi auto slide???? Holy cow man!!

Have taught holding the slide closed with an overhand grip at the range as a way to ensure the your gun stays in battery if you have to make a contact shot. Have also fired with pad of thumb holding the slide forward to show if the slide doesn't have a running start, it doesn't hurt. 40SW in both Glock and M&P.

Just don't let it gain momentum or get the web of your hand over the rear sight.
