I have no doubts that there are MANY, Many, many....... SECRET surveillance programs taking place.

The thing is......with some of these newest GUN LAWS/permit schemes......YOU are/will be required to give up your social media posts/identity and accounts.......in order to SEE IF YOU ARE WORTHY of gun ownership. The GOVT shouldn't need to expose their SECRET surveillance on YOU. Then.....if someone should see what they deem to be a RED FLAG. Yeah......no permit for you. Try reversing a decision.......made in the name of SAFETY?

That may work. But in cities like Portland you can't "legally" open carry a loaded pistol unless you have a CCW. Stupid yes. I'll continue to renew my CCW. Whether I agree or not. It's more of a fail safe for me personally. A law isn't going to keep me from exercising my right. But I do my best to be "legal" same goes with my tax stamps.

I'm really not concerned with being on a "list." Who are they going to send? All the beta males who are trying to play tough guy with a gun, who crumple under the threat of violence. No worries on my end.

I have no doubts that there are MANY, Many, many....... SECRET surveillance programs taking place.

I was at one time a System/Network Administrator. I was able to log into a computer from my desk in Salem to another computer in Pendleton for example and the person in possession of said computer wouldn't even know I was there. I could see everything that individual was doing or logging into and they'd never know it 'til we busted them on something they shouldn't have been doing! I.E. visiting porn sights during work hours and a work computer.

So, believe me, the government has ways of tracking you without you even noticing!

In Montana we don't need permits. Concealed. Open. Not unusual to see a barrel or holster visible under a shirt or jacket on the person in the next booth or table at a restaurant. Oregon is open carry but socially unacceptable and most likely snowflakes will call LE. LE might not respond to reports of crime but will respond for an opportunity to harass. Oregon is a member of the Consolidated Western States. Oregon is behind enemy lines.

Answer...never as long as they get their marching orders from the left.
Ever hear the names Clinton, Obama, Biden ? How about Reno, Mueller or Comey ? The FBI answers to the incumbent Commander in Chief, just like the military. They even take the same oath as the military.
The Bureau has been sliding left since Clinton and Reno. At this point, it would take at least an 8 year run of a decent president. Trump didn't have a chance. One of his biggest failures was not doing a thorough house cleaning, post 'bama..... but he didn't have enough time or internal support.
The last decent Bureau Director we had was Sessions, a former Texas Judge (go figure). He became history when he wouldn't play footsie with Willie and Janet Reno.
That started the loss of autonomy from Capitol Hill and the Bureau becoming more of a political tool loosing it's original mission thanks to an influx of policy wonks.
If you ever have a conversation with an old retired Agent, they will probably tell you that they don't even recognize today's Bureau.
Some of you would probably be surprised to learn that they share the same oppinions as many of the members here.
