I had a very, very strange set of experiences the night after I was a first responder to a fatality car accident on hwy 26. All the "phenomenon" were easily explained... blinking lights, opening door, wierd image on the computer screen, drop in temperature in the basement, happened at midnight... (bad ground in switch, unrepaired latch, looking at the "wrong" sites, cooler air moves to lower elevation, I was up late the night before). The fact that they all happened simultaneously the night after I had laid my hand on a dead/dying man... coincidence, I guess. I felt scared, really scared, but not threatened.

Same thing after Mom and Step-Dad were killed. Spooky coincidences to say the very least. There's a woman somewhere here in town I have seen a couple times since, and I nearly faint when I see her....she looks just like Mom it's scary. Seen many billboard and small business signs.....like they are letting me know they are still watching. And heard some people say things that I would only hear from Mom...code words and such. And the numbers in your screen name...coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not.

Well, about my screen name. The numbers 143 have been haunting me since my mid-teens.. I decided to embrace it. And have since used it in every "screen name".

It still haunts me to this day. Maybe haunt isn't the right word. It follows me, and seems to be my "sign"Has helped me make some important decisions many times. Example: once, when I was moving. Where I moved was based entirely on the 143. (didn't search it out, was a place someone i knew had a rental, it kinda came to me)

The night my dad died. I drove home from seattle. I decided to run a load of laundry, in my fairly brand new washer and dryer. (1yr old) When I rotated, and started the dryer. The door, which I never had trouble with before, opened with a force. Like someone was kicking it open from the inside. All that was in there was clothes. No shoes, or anything that would have opened it with force. And its never happened again since.

My father committed suicide when I was 9 yrs old, on the balcony of our home. We stayed at my moms business for three days after, and then came home to get changes of clothes and things we needed while we were gone. My brother and I went up stairs to our bedroom, and just before I entered, I saw something that I have never forgotten. I saw a man, about 3 feet tall, extremely old and hunched over, very wrinkled face, cane, staring at me. It vanished quickly, and I was terrified so I ran outside.

The significance of this didnt come to me for many years. About 8 years later, I was talking to my Dads sister(my Aunt), and we had a conversation about the time around when he died. She started telling me about an experience she had, three days, after my Dad died. She said she was walking down the stairs in her house in Terebonne, and she saw a man standing at the bottom of the stairs for a moment. She described the EXACT same man to me. Three days after, same as me. The thing is, I NEVER told her about that, or anyone else for that matter.

Then, a few months later, I told a friend of my moms about the whole thing, and she said that she had new age books that exacttly described it as the spirit of suicide.

Thats just one of the many things thats happened to me.

I am a big fan of the show Ghost Hunters on the SiFi channel. However until I have my own first hand experience I will be on the fence on this one. I want to believe but I need more proof.

As to the first picture link you posted, of the apparent orb of light in a dark room, to me it looks like a dust particle illuminated/reflected by light from your camera. Nothing to get really excited about.

Would like to see the picture that started this thread, with the accident.

I have had some extremely strange things happen to me over the years, that have led me to believe that there are definitely things going on around us that we cant usually see. I don't know if they are human spirits, demons or angels maybe, or just forces that we don't know about. Whatever it is, its there, for sure. After some of my experiences, I can have no other view on it.

We're you able to look at the "orb" (which I hate that word) up close. its not just a "orb", its whats in it. A dust particle would make it so much easier to explain. Tonight I will plug in my external hard drive, and put together a little collection of my strange photo's. And post them for all to pick apart.

And the story behind the picture is what makes me think its not just a dust particle.

This picture was taken in the basement of a very old, not to mention strange, condemned house. My other half, thought he'd try and scare us girls, and play a joke on us. He came and found us in another room, and brought us into this one. While walking in there, he says "have you seen this?". He walked over to this wall, where there was a sheet of plywood leaning against it. And very quickly, pulled it away from the wall. (you would have thought there was going to be a hole, or a hidden door) Instead, there was nothing. He was just trying to scare us, or make us feel stupid for being so "on edge". But, personally i think this "orb" had a great sense of humor.

you'll never have "proof"...... You'll have to believe what your seeing, and see what your believing.

I still can't. I question myself. But its getting to the point where I can't make myself feel better by just saying "I'm seeing things". I'm always trying to find "logic", and "logic" doesn't explain everything.

when will we see this pic?

as soon as i drop off my niece from the hannah montana concert, and get home and have "my time"..... instead of running around.

Tonight promise. Im using a barrowed laptop, cause i had to send mine back to hp. so its not that easy to just upload it. I gotta plug in the external drive, which i packed up the other day to take to work with me. And its never that easy with my life, im the most unorganized person alive. I gotta find it. The only reason i had the other photo handy was I had already uploaded it to a web site.....

This is the picture from that night.

oh cool. sorry I thought maybe you had forgot. what kind of camera do you use?

Its okay, just don't want anyone to think that im playin a joke, lying, or just being stupid.

I use a Canon SX10 IS, but I don't like it nearly as well as my S5 IS. Except for the zoom.. It has great eye's when I can't see. But I'm surprised I still have either of them, concidering how I treat them. Most photographers would die if they saw how they have been treated....

But they are great cameras, that must love me.

that is strange that there is reflection off of the supposed man in the pic. If i am looking at the right thing. That is really cool though thanks for sharing. Kinda crazy.
too bad you didn't take a continuous and see if it goes away.

All the elements are there which produce the effect of a silhouette of a man in the background. Kind of creepy at first, but further study reveals the elements which, when blended with a poor quality picture and zoomed out seem to look like a silhouette.

Kind of cool, but obviously not an apparition..

I would suggest learning how to use the flash on that great camera you own, It will surely identify the difference between aberration and apparition. However, be warned that sometimes good quality pictures can easily scare off ghouls and ghosts. Or perhaps ghouls, ghosts and apparitions are naturally blurry just like Bigfoot.

First, I hate the flash. It ruins pictures like nothing else. Second I love the fact that you know the difference between an aberration, and an apparition.

Like I said, Someone, would find a way to explain it.

I'm alright with that.
But, I know, that logic doesn't explain everything.

After looking at the pic a bit, I am kinda leaning towards what Mutoman said. There is a name for this, although I cant remember what it is. But human brains see patterns of familliar objects in everything. Our brains will try to associate unfamilliar or obscure things with things we recognise, like looking at ink blotches or cloud patterns.

I dont deny the fact that this looks like the form of a man, but I think its likely just a coincidence coming from the lighting, and the angle of the photo in relation to the objects in it.

I could be wrong, it may very well be something supernatural. Keep taking photos and looking for paranormal activity, I believe it is possible to capture things like that.
