I took mason out shooting mid afternoon today. We left the house at 4pm. Some one was shooting in the upper pit so we used the lower pit. I picked up a used Ruger 77/223, stainless synthetic boatail stock with a scope last weekend from Cabelas for $349 & tax. I got it sighted in and Mason was shooting water bottles from out by the road to the bank. After the water bottles were used up I filled coke cans with water for targets.

He was hitting the cans with his little Savage 22lr Rascle. He shot up a hundred 223 and a hundred 38spl up there today. He also shot fifty 44spl cartridges & a bunch of 22lr.

We picked up two 5 gallon buckets of steel rifle & pistol cases and a bag of plastic bottles.

There wasn't much there for brass, only a big hand full.

This picture explains life to a T. This is why I takemy grandson out shooting every weekend we can get out and make up for the weekends we can't go.
Once all the sand drops and they call your number, it's game over never to be played again
So take your kids, grandkidsn neighbors kids and go shoot when ever you can. Some day your light switch will be turned off for good.

We have all three grandkids from their mom. His dad is a huge POS. When he started to shoot I spent a lot of time with him since he was four years old. He can be on his own and shoot what ever is on the table. He hada field day shooting coke cans full of water with the 357 GP100. Tomorrow early morning will.be more 357mag and hIs AR15.

I made a promise to him last year to takehim shooting Every weekend I can. This is the reason I got in to reloading, to support his shooting skills.
He can shoot better the 95% of the guys that we shoot with and i would bet him against any one a dollar a shot, rifle or handgun.
I love him to pieces.

See you tomorrow.
Looks like it's just me and @Melmelhunter .
We are going to try to leave Anacortes around 08:00 or something like that.

We left the house alittle after 7;30 this morning and just returned home here at 3;45. Nice day up at the pit today. Ed and
Mel arrived around 9 or so. We had the use of the top pit today. Two small groups set up in the lower pitn one on each side. An older couple and a younger couple set up by use in the top pit and shot some steel and had a bunch of bloons set up to shoot.
The weather was perfect for shooting.
When the people in the lower pit left I went down & grabbed the brass the one group left. Almost a gallon of brass, 223, 308, 9mm & 458 Socum.

I did manage to pick up four - 5 gallon buckets of steel rifle & pistol cases and a 3 gallon bucket of garbage shotgun hulls.
