Sam Carpenter will get my vote. Knute is no better than Brown on the issues.
We don't need another turncoat in Oregon.
What issues are more important to you than gun rights and opposing IP43?

When a conservative is snuggling up to the communist somthing doesn' ad up.Shades of McSh*tstain, in other words?
Here are a few items copy/pasted tweets from Sam's website in the last 24 hours....
I'm the only remaining "no compromise" candidate when it comes to the Second Amendment. Now more than ever, our gun rights are under attack. See where I stand: Sam Carpenter on Gun Control Policy - Make Oregon Great Again #2A #MOGA#orpol
AND...
"I gave this presentation last Wednesday in Corvallis. My points were directed at Greg Wooldridge (absent), Bruce Cuff (absent), Jeff Smith (present) and Dave Stauffer (present)
Knute Buehler was absent, as usual.
Here's the thing. There is no more time to discuss issues (we know what they are). There is no more time to even discuss solutions (we know what they are).
Knute Buehler is 15% ahead of me in the polls. I'm at 24%, Greg Wooldridge is at 11%, and Bruce Cuff is at 3%. Clearly, among conservatives, I am the only one with any chance of winning the primary election.
Will Greg Wooldridge and Bruce Cuff keep battling me or will they join me (and you)?
If I lose in the primary to Knute by 10%, I would not want to be one of those guys, would you? Imagine living in Oregon with that legacy, having spoiled our last chance to stop unfettered abortion, preserve our 2nd amendment rights, remove sanctuary state status, and on and on.
C'mon Greg and Bruce. Tell us WHY? And saying it's because you think you can win is NOT an answer."

Perhaps the R candidate should just say "I oppose taxpayer dollars paying for abortion". That's not as aggressive as saying "I oppose abortion".
For me, 2A is the only issue in this election so if the R candidate is a Planned Parenthood abortion doctor, but is strongly pro-gun and anti-IP43, then I'll vote for him. Worry about the other stuff later - as you say - abortion is here to stay barring a Supreme Court reversal of Roe vs Wade.
There is nothing on gun rights on his website. What politicians say in talks is ephemeral and can vary with the audience. What he puts on his website is going to be closer to what he is willing to be held to. He says vague things about individual liberties on the website. But nothing explicitly about gun rights. Maybe he needs to be pressed to take a more explicit stand on guns on his website and in the voters pamphlet.. Preferably by registered longtime republicans. (Which I am not.)
I might cross party lines this time over the gun issue. But not to replace an anti gun democrat governor with an anti gun republican governor. And probably not for a candidate with no formal commitment to gun rights on his website or in the voters pamphlet.
Isn't that the point? The (make Oregon great again) will through the leftist into a hatefull ranting meltdown.
This is the reason we're in the situation that we're in. People don't confirm anything, they just take their neighbor or friends word for it... or worse, Zuckerberg's word

"True this!"
Yes!
I bought the GOP mantra "hook, line, and sinker" when President Reagan sent President Carter home.
Then #41 became a Builderberg and his "New World Order" began to take shape.
Clinton was Clinton plus he signed the Clinger Cohen Act into law.
I caught on to #43 too late bc he was already in office, and the false flags and the "Too Big To Fail" were set in stone.
McCain also slipped through until it was too late, but Romney was a no brainier...
No more "Lesser of the Two Evils" votes for me; this runaway freight train has to be stopped or crashed before it can be repaired..IMO.
But, I expect everyone to their own opinion(s).
The failure to understand what has already happened globally over numerous decades (even centuries) will likely lead to our utter demise. People are just now waking up and it may be too little too late to alter the course for the better. Our government as well as all political parties, schools, universities, corporations and organizations have been corrupted by globalist who want total control over us. Ironically, the internet (including social media) and cell phones were created to spy on us but what they didn't expect was that it would help the great awaking we are finally seeing as much as it has. That is why they are going to such great length to stop us from delivering the TRUTH. This is also why they have gone after our president without a shred of evidence all the while allowing the leftist basturds to corrupt every facet of our lives. Having said this, I only hope and pray that enough people will wake up in time to change the coarse of this sinking vessel, if not, we need to be good with our maker so that our long term future will be sealed.
I know we are running out of time since the ballots have already been mailed out I just wanted to point out some things that have just came to my attention recently. Everything that I have seen show Sam Carpenter is the lead opposition to Knute Buehler's campaign but just be for we all vote, Bruce Cuff has stopped his campaign for Governor and has decided to indorse Greg Wooldridge's. Representative Bill Post has also endorsed Greg but all of this has happened in the final hour making things very uncertain of the outcome. Having said that, I can't imagine this division is going to end well for us. It looks to me that Knute will be the biggest beneficiary of this last minute move. :-/
Lars Larson moderated the governor candidate debate today, Friday, May 11. Oregon Firearms Association changed Carpenter's grade from B+ to F after the debate because Carpenter said he would enforce IP43:
2018 Primary Election Governor - Oregon Firearms Federation
I haven't watched it, so I haven't made up my mind for the primary vote yet - but I'm leaning Knute now - may change my mind after watching the video maybe tonight. Lars had Sam on the phone after the debate and gave him a chance to walk back his comment on enforcing IP43 and he did not do a good job of it at all. Maybe he decided best to let Knute win the nomination.
Here's the Youtube video of the debate.
