Soooooooo I have a business in Oregon. You are trying to take food off my table. You are now the enemy.

Super cool plan you have there Jim.

I accept you are not willing to sacrifice for your rights. If it makes me your enemy to fight for your rights then I really don't know what to tell you. If you would have taken the same amount of time and contacted your rep about your fears you might even have helped so no boycott is needed. So what is your better idea? What are you doing to fight? How are you making a difference?

Sooner or later you will have to pick a side, either ride with the corrupt for your 30 pieces of silver or stand with the just to keep your rights.

This is just my opinion, your mileage may very.

If I was a small business owner in Oregon, I would let the powers that be know your concerns for the future of your business, because of the have done to the people of Oregon, not because of poor decisions on your part. Tell them and others as you see fit what this bill is doing, what the unintended consequences are, let know the added hardship to your future because of their misguided ways. Tell them that Bloomberg money might save them, but it can't save the entire Oregon economy.

I'm not planning on boycotting the little guys if I can help it, however I have been considering using Amazon for house hold goods that normally come from big box stores for a while, and this new legislation has definitely made that consideration easier. From my understanding a lot of house hold items I get from Costco, target, Walmart and winco can be had for slightly more, but I get them delivered to my door.

My sister in law and her husband get almost all of their house hold cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels....... From Amazon now.

Businesses who stand with us will be promoted by us and may even get more income than before. As a business post you business name here and let people know you stand against corruption.

You are right. I'm not in your league and you are awesome. Have a nice day and thank you for defending me!

I suggest that a sustained campaign directed at any organization that is sensitive to public opinions would be more effective and sustainable than a general boycott. Democratic Party and Unions probably don't care but the businesses that use those unions? Heck yea!

Round two, some of the people who voted for this are business owners. How about we identify them?

If they don't have businesses then boycott the businesses of family, friends and associates!

Pretty soon the word will get around "OUR RIGHTS ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE!!!"

Remember, they declared war.

http://www.tri-countychamber.com/ Includes Val Hoyle's district Junction City. All the businesses in that area as well as Gun Runner Arms who's owner is behind her Recall. Ideally you would Boycott her district and that would make the businesses suffer who in turn would Vote out anti-gun politicians like her.

I think you're on to something but it's lacking. Selective Boycotting is what you need. Start with businesses that donated to her Campaign maybe? Hard to find recent data though, this is from2010http://votesmart.org/candidate/campaign-finance/116336/val-hoyle
Val Hoyle is difficult, notice about halfway down this list OREGON GUN OWNERS donated to her. They couldn't be faulted I guess because at the time she was pro gun apparently.

When I try to follow the money on that site I get nothing. Do you have to sign up?

Are people that don't buy from your business "the enemy"? Is the criteria to become an "enemy" that one is trying to take away existing customers? If that is the case, then any competing business, local or not, is also "the enemy". Your position is untenable. I support your ability to make a statement, but it is illogical and anti-liberty.

CONFEDERATED TRIBES OF THE GRAND RONDE $1,500.00 This pops up a lot on the Dems campaign donation listings. IF, it's all one sided and IF most of the ones responsible for SB941 got contributions from them, I'd say a Boycott of Spirit Mountain resort would be the big showy attention getter you are after.

Watch out for the Indian Mafia though:eek: Just kidding...... I think:confused:

Lets all do a little research but this hits all the right buttons. Tourism, evil gambling, local hit to the economy if boycott gets legs.
BTW I don't think gambling is evil but many nanny state types as well as conservatives do! I just do it on Scottrade instead of a flashy casino myself!

The list is long of the places you can boycott and there are people to support. The idea is to not hurt our friends.

Heavily weighted towards Anti-Gun Dems I would say. I wonder what more recent contributions would look like? I haven't found any 2014 numbers how about you guys?
Notice along with some of our biggest enemies are some of our staunchest supporters:(
Maybe we could pressure them to quit funding enemies of the 2nd A by talk of a gun owners Boycott but I'd love to see some current figures first.
Again I think your on to something but it should be more pinpointed I feel. And only part of a wider movement that would include the recalls and getting a new Governor voted in.

We watch the news every day of government corruption. People who use our money to buy prostitutes and gambling yet can't be fired. People in government so corrupt they dispose of emails that are required to be turned over yet these people are not held accountable. Over and over again there is no accountability for the corruption in government.

Here in Oregon we still haven't seen charges brought forward on Kitshaber. We have an appointed governor who is working with a corrupt legislature in an emergency clause to take away our right to vote on laws. This is corruption at its worst, the system so many fought and died for won't even allow the people to vote on the laws. This in not Germany in the 1930s, we will not stand back and let the corrupt steal our system.

We must boycott Oregon. Money talks and they need to hear us loud and clear.

There are interesting correlations to Germany circa 1933 I am told. Having some knowledge of the rise of the NAZI's during this period, there are correlations. I'm thinking we have active communists in the legislature and an ignorant populace that we along for the ride.

The 1930s was a time of a depression and a time everyone was preparing for war or making war. We are very close to those times again and it ended up with the world going to war.
