The CZ is a fine gun, it's the enemy's 1911. Other than size and weight, the only issue I've had with them is the slide is a little too low profile for my liking. That said it is light years better than my first pistol choice.

The enemy's 1911. Well the enemy got something right with the CZ 75 imo. So kudos to them, and I'll be happy to take their guns off their hands.

None of that is historically accurate. All of the CZ factories that existed during the Cold War, came into existance long before the Soviet domination of the Czechs; in fact CZ firearms have been around since before the Soviet Union even existed. Their newer factories, didn't open until long after the fall of the USSR.

Ah well nevermind then. I know it's true for the vz.58, I wasn't thinking about the previous guns CZ put out.
