Not offended. Just pointing out the obvious about which gun deaths get discussed in this medium and why.
Unfortunately the shooting today and some of the others wouldn't have been of national significance if Colorado, Clackamas and Connecticut didn't occur so relatively close. Even then I don't think we would be in such a panic state if Connecticut was any other age group than elementary kids. After Vermont, we had a buzz but nothing of this magnitude but this is a perfect storm for gun legislation. Just after a new election, very high profile devastating shootings and an administration that wants to make a mark and doesn't care what will happen after the next 4 years because the POTUS doesn't need to get reelected.
Im more frustrated that people would rather sign online petitions and argue with people on social media then to write their elected officials and let them know that their constituents are not happy with the direction the government is going. All the while people are panicking and driving up the prices of double and triple of what they should be.
