Most of the articles I read on this Baldwin thing say they cheat the angles. It looks like it's pointed at a person when firing a blank but it's slightly off.
Yeah when firing close they are trained to fire away from center of mass since the gasses can cause injury. My point is that there really isn't an expectation that the props will be treated as carefully as a "real" weapon since the actors are given "cold" weapons, verified by the armorers who assume all liability it seems. It would make me mighty uncomfortable nonetheless.

According to the internet, which is always correct, this was the gun used. If I'm not mistaken, that is a black powder cap and ball revolver.

If he done bubblegumed up after all the work to load cap and ball…
Love how the carat circumvented the bubblegum filter... ;)

Edit: WTF? Replying to a post negates the bubblegum filter bypass??? o_O

Why would a rabid anti gun woke activist touch even a nerf gun? because he is a hypocrite like all of the rest of the woke lunatics in CommieWood.
If he really is against guns from the bottom of his heart, he should never touch one, or even look towards one, or especially not play in/make money/profit from a movie where guns are used.
It's like if a priest preaches every morning against the sin of gambling and gayness and in the evening he goes to casinos and he also dress in drag once in a while and does the gay club circuit around town.
His "friend" Trump might be remembered by some as the president who posted mean tweets......but Baldwin will be remembered by all as the angry woke virtue signaling anti gun hypocrite actor who murdered his crew member , and someone's daughter, mother, wife....on a movie set, by using a gun.
This accident should remind us all of the importance of good gun safety practices.

Latest info I saw on it said the police had confirmed that live ammunition was loaded into the gun, (as opposed to blanks)

Regardless, Alec Baldwin, an anti-civil right zealot, has killed more people than any of my guns have.

Ban Alec Baldwin!

So the hypocrite Alec Baldwin, who's made tens of millions of dollars as an actor, playing roles in which he uses many, many firearms to shoot many, many other humans (in his movie roles)... will finally, as they say, be "hoisted on his own petard."

Everything, everything that he's ever said or done, will now come back to haunt him.

That in itself will be justice enough. He's gonna have to live with himself. I'm not gonna judge him (anymore).

Wonder how the "entertainment industry" got around 4473's on everyone involved in the transfer of firearms?

They are not police, in the course if their duties.

They are not on a gun range.

They are not immediate family, usually & for the most part. As a generalization.

TRUE prop guns, unable to chamber nor fire a "normal" round? OK, sure no 4473 type rules should apply.

Firearms, even used as "props". Transfer rules should apply. Just like they apply to everyone else...

Seems rules are for thee...
While I also dislike the transfer laws, in this case I think that, technically, the owner of the firearm is present while it's being used, so that would be OK. It's not like I have to do a 4473 to let a friend or someone I meet at a range or on BLM forest land to let them shoot a gun I have at the moment.
