No. It can go pistol, rifle, pistol. What it can't do is go pistol, SBR, pistol. But if made into a SBR it can go SBR rifle and back to SBR. Keep in mind that any legal advice I give is worth what you paid for (free). Best bet is send a letter to the ATF.

As for the OP, best bet is wait. Better to not risk time in prison. Playing word games with the ATF is also something I wouldn't want to do.
