You can get 150s not sure about 170/180 in the 76239.
Don't care about ft lb, I'd be looking at the velocity at that range and bullet type.
I'm more about the penetration, knock down power is a myth

Fine, feel free to test to your heart's content.
My point is that comparisons between 7.62x39 and .30-30 are kinda apples-to-oranges, because of the difference in commonly loaded bullet weights.
 
I think people think of Ak's when they hear of this round, and not accurate.
I'm not saying it's the best, but with quality bullets at short range, It will do. You have to agree it's better than a 22LR.
My CZ is sub or at least an moa gun.

Because I thought I saw someone bring up a 22 and If that can take down a deer or an elk. Then a good shot with 76239 will do just as fine in the boiler room even though it may shoot lighter bulet than a 30/30. Here is a article and a chart on the two rounds.

was running low on bullets, only had one box of 762 with me /not paying attention when loading up.
