I'm just looking for ANYONE to come up with ANY remotely plausible law (including a AWB) that would have prevented this guy from stealing his mother's guns after murdering her, thereby preventing this tragedy.

NAME ME ONE.

I actually pay attention to the Brady Center and their proposals. Not a single one of them would have in anyway interfered with this atrocity.

The only way you could hope to stop this kind of thing is with a ban on ALL privately owned arms. That would cost, assuming that we didn't ALSO throw out the 5th amendment, about a trillion dollars.

That's just in buybacks assuming a 100% compliance rate.

Over the weekend several people suggested an Australian style full semi auto / handgun ban and buy back would curb future killing sprees with guns. If you make guns impossible to obtain legally, then over time it becomes extremely difficult for crazy people to get access to them, even on the black market, because they are expensive (a black market AR in Australia is over $10k) and a mental case is unlikely to have connections with organized crime.

I'm guessing in the US that it would probably take decades to achieve what Australia did in a few years, but it could be done if you are willing to throw the Constitution out the window, and live in a police state. Since the War on Some Drugs and the Patriot Act already established most of the necessary mechanisms for a police state, and 9/11 demonstrated that most Americans don't care about the Constitution (specifically the 4th), I think it's possible, although unlikely.

Of course, that won't stop future crazy people killing with knives, explosives, bull dozers etc, but nobody wants to hear that right now.

What ever happened to the guy in Camo in the woods on the news that suddenly was never talked about? The two guys seen running by the windows before the attack started? I smell a rat. Too much riding on this horrific act. Just remember that just about anyone can now be made to bark like a dog or crow like a rooster, believe they ARE a rooster in just a matter of hours. Patsies are a dime a dozen. Not saying this is the case here, but if not, why are certain parts of the story already being complete suppressed by the prestitutes?

It's obvious to me that the plan is to disarm us and finalize our place on the NWO plantation.. if we resist they will murder us. George Washington saw all this in a vision.. and it's happening. The good news is this is their Waterloo, and we win

The only weapon used was an AR-15 with 223 ammo. At least one 6 year old child was hit 11 times. All were hit more than once.
Another AR was found in his car. He also had two glock sidearms. But, those were not fired.

I'm beginning to think that all semi-auto firearms should be classified the same as full auto. Our lack of morals as a society has to be addressed. There are of course responsible gun owners, but there are also evil persons amongst us.

I would personally like to see you substantiate that information as hard given, FACTUAL information. This tragedy has seen the worst, biased, unfounded, and flagrantly unverifiable journalism in some time. The stories coming out of rooms in which there were no survivors, what guns used, how he gained entrance, etc. nothing has been staying consistent more than a couple hours.

1st the AR was in the trunk and he used specific glock and Sig 9mm pistols, was buzzed in. The principal and Psychologist were killed barracading the office. Now we have the principal rushing him, he shot his way in, he used an AR exclusively, had hundreds more rounds on him, killed himself with a 10mm when he heard police approaching. And lets not forget how his mother was a teacher, then not a teacher, he was a recently fired employee, etc etc. Then we have the story of a teacher hiding her kids and telling him they were in the gym and he then killed her, how would anyone know since she and he are both dead?

Media is all about sensationalism, can't believe any of what you hear, so no use basing a discussion on it, let alone a statement or law calling for banning of anything. Once the full and final police reports come out, then we can understand what happened.

Your last two Sentences quoted are the real root of the issue. They will just get the guns illegally thru other means, or move on to the next tool of destruction. What if he had come in with homemade bombs, grenades, or other explosives. He could have hit every room in the time it took him to go thru 2.

Hmm. I would think the video of the witness at the scene seeing the man in camo being hand cuffed and taken into custody would qualify as a credible first-hand source. As were the police radio report of two men being held prone next to their van fleeing the area? I don't know, maybe not.

After all, if you wanted to start the ball rolling on taking guns away from Americans I am sure you wouldn't want to plot something like this. Americans don't seem to be 100% convinced as of yet so I'd expect one more doozy of an event coming down the line to seal the deal. Then the bans and confiscations can start and everyone will be safer and happy.

The difference between someone like me and many others here is I have no delusions about having any real rights or freedoms. We are not free, we are owned property. So it is just a matter of how small and restrictive our owners want to make the cage. That is all. We are dumb sheep, they are highly intelligent ruthless masters. I am not going to spend my last few years on planet Earth fighting TPTB that have established their dominance over us for countless decades. No thanks. However, that doesn't mean that I have to go through life as deluded as the flouride heads, the 99%.

That video i have seen is so grainy and distorted there is no way to know what you are seeing.. show me vid of them escorting a cuffed guy to a car and then we ca talk..

Way the camera moves around that movement in trees could be anything, even mote officers..

Reminds me of the Oklahoma Federal Building when initial reports/witness said they heard four distinct explosions within the building (charges); two men, not one, leaving the Ryder truck. Reports for the first 4-6 hours were constantly talking about explosions heard within the building and then TWO men. Then like magic, all those initial reports and eyewitnesses went away the next morning and it was ONE man and no explosions within the building. One evil man and his fertilizer did all that by himself. Kind of like a brown person dying or dead of kidney failure defeated the US military from a cave.

Boob tube viewers were so naive and easily deceived they thought an explosion could be pointed in one direction and sheer the face off a building at a perfect 90 degrees, but do nothing to buildings/cars on the other side. Just like magic.

TPTB do as they please for the sheep worship authority, the status quo and above all else, comfort. Sadly, that will never change. They will succeed in destroying what is left of the 2A and any other individual 'rights' because they rarely if ever fail and the American people have been watching the boob tube and slurping down fluoride far too long to awaken, ever.

This is just more reason to enjoy life now and live as happy as you can because these are the last of the good times. Be grateful for what you have right now because it won't last.

I have watched the sparring on here and some like to lead you around the bush for fun on their part.
