It is really strange, maybe they are implying "you could die tomorrow are your financial affairs in order?" Piss poor way to communicate that if that's what they are trying to do methinks.

Hard to tell, but from the look and size, I would say it's a good bet thats a Bear ya gotts there!

K9, to include Large Dog, Wolf, and Coyoty, Claws ALWAYS present!

The Shape of the pad can usually tell you as well, bear are wide and rounded, Cats are triangle shaped, and K9's generally narrower and with the indentations for the two outer toes!
 
Large dog would be my guess.
Depending on what type of snow the track is in , can make ID'ing difficult.
Snow can often "spread out " around the imprint and make it look bigger or obscure the details .

No dogs where I took the photo, a few miles behind the house. If not bear, then probably a wolf. We have both in the area. Neighbor about a mile away saw a wolf behind his house about a week ago.
