After convincing a family friend who never votes to go vote no on 114, I learned that there might be a lot of busy, working people who don't realize that they can skip the votes they don't care about or understand.
That was the big hang-up. Turns out they usually don't vote because they felt like they were taking a test and had to have a good answer to every question.
I had never thought about it that way before.
Of course, in a perfect world, everyone would be fully-informed, and take the time to make rational decisions on every issue/race on every ballot. That's not our world, especially these days.
If you know someone who is inclined to oppose 114, make sure they know they can cast that vote, even if they fill in only a few, or zero other bubbles.
