The Western Washington Range Alliance (WWRA) is a group of shooting sports facilities, working to cultivate a safe, strong and united community of responsible hunters, archers, firearm owners and competitors.
WWRA's New Shooter program provides introductory information for those new to firearm ownership and those interested in becoming firearm owners. This is not a certification class, but an introduction into how firearms work, how to handle and store them safely and the basics of shooting. Our goal is to provide you with information and the confidence to move forward with your future in ownership and training. In conjunction with the King County Health Department Lock It Up program, we will have information and coupons for purchasing safe storage units as well as free trigger locks and a raffle for a handgun safe! This 2-part class starts with a Zoom session taught by a certified instructor and concludes with an in-person, live-fire class supervised by Range Safety Officers. The $20 per person cost covers course materials including ammunition and eye & ear protection. Masks are required and social distancing rules will be followed.
The Zoom class will take place on November 6th, 7-8:30 pm and the live class will be held at Interlake Sporting Association in Redmond on November 7th, 1-3:00 pm. Please email [email protected] to register or with any questions.
