Just a note for my WA folks, looks like SB 5078 has passed the senate and is going to the house of reps for the state. Contact your reps!

The version passed is a 10-rd capacity limit and achieves grandfathering by not banning possession, but rather a ban on manufacture/transfer/distribution/sale/import (except for LEOs/gov't).

I believe this is the version passed ("Engrossed Substitute") here: https://lawfilesext.leg.wa.gov/biennium/2021-22/Htm/Amendments/Senate/5078-S AMS LIIA S3477.5.htm?q=20220210001843. It is an "amended as adopted" version of the Substitute Text. The Substitute Text banned over 17rds and also banned possession except if you could prove ownership via picture before ban date. The passed version lowers to 10rd, and removes the ban on possession and its obviously unenforcable/impractical picture proof clause.

Thr commies have 16 seat majority in the House... Not sure if there any gun friendly dems out there.

Looks like a done deal
Possibly, still worth the effort of letting the House dems know your position. Inflation prints just hit a 40 year high and will likely continue due to falling oil production and increasing demand, crime rates are dramatically increasing in urban areas, polling shows falling support for gun control, non-gun owners generally don't care about mag restrictions, gun owners REALLY care, and 2022 is an election year. This is a politically asinine move, setting aside legality, constitutionality, etc... which Dems don't care about.

Well, if we can't buy new magazines, then lets use that money to unseat the bubblegums who voted to infringe our rights. And to fund the lawsuit to stop this bill in the courts.
Don't whine! Act!

If only it were that easy.

This is only about disarming people like us. Period. They are under no illusion that this will stop crime. It's a shot at their political opponents.

Legacy Media already celebrating.

Headline sure is misleading on purpose.

I will have magazines at my store, and I will not gouge on pricing.

If this officially passes, I will still sell magazines and not gouge pricing.

Too many people agreeing to give in, is the problem.

It is that easy. Maybe instead of buying that 50th or 100th magazine you/we/all of us put 10 or 20% of that cost into the pot for a few Pro-gun candidates to go up against the more vulnerable dems in the upcoming election. Find the best pro-gun candidates and put that money into their coffers
If we can knock a few dems out, at least some of the rest will get the message and back off. Same with donating money to fight this trash in court.
People running off to buy a hundred mags (of which 90+ will never get unwrapped) only help the anti-gunners. The panic buying is a distraction to keep our eyes off what the libs will do next.
So instead of buying a dozen mags buy 10 and put the remaining $20 or $30 into the fight to keep our rights.
