Doesn't every forum on the planet have one?

Yes but some people want to be a part of something. So they start there own thread so they can feel that way. If they just look something up then they can do that anywhere and not need to be a part of this great community. We need all the backing we can get and if we as the center piece of this forum don't welcome them then we have left them with a bad taste in there mouth.

You pack your bag and I'll pack mine. The entire concept of an IFAK is not necessarily for the wounded to treat themselves, but for someone with the know how (such as a medic or other professional) to have supplies on hand for treatment. Tension pneumothorax is a legit concern with gun shot wounds and other severe trauma, such as auto accidents. Better to have and not need than need and not have.

Actually, that's exactly what an IFAK is for.

And absolutely no good samaratin law is going to cover someone operating outside their scope. Not having one is better than playing with something you're not trained and certified on and making the situation 100 times worse.
