The guns I shoot most fall in that category.
I have a Spikes AR lower that I form 1 registered for a SBR and I really want to make it an AR9 SBR.
The mag well adaptor I want is no longer made, which is a big disappointment because it allowed use of un-modified Uzi mags.
I was recently shown an interesting accessory for a Magpul mag that converted it to 9mm. Looked like it ran pretty well in the guy's AR9.

As for glock mags and bolt holds, new frontier incorporates that into the upper. They even have a non reciprocating side charging upper with the bolt hold. I run their regular upper, and it holds reliably on glock mags, but not magpul.

I started with a Kerry's Guns AR9 and it was an awesome build. Then I bought a CZ Scorpion, and then a Kriss Vector.
While the AR9 was cool, I liked it so much less than the Vector and the Scorpion that it got sold.

I love mine a lot but it is a home built but it does not have the last round bolt hold open. It started out as some leftover parts from other projects.

If you want Glock pattern, the Angstadt is quite sexy as well.
Has that slender magwell thing going on.
If they made Colt pattern, I'd be looking at those.

Well, I just pulled the trigger on this one.
I've always built, but I couldn't get this one to pencil out if I built it.
Primarily because I want some QC-10 proprietary stuff which kills the budget.
IMO, they have the most developed Colt pattern lower on the market.
