Southwest washington long range

I just moved into the vancouver area and have taken up the desire to do some long distance shooting I'm looking for a place to test my skills beyond 600yards.
Does any one know of any amateur challenges or competitions. I'm specifically looking for something in the open and not bench rest.
Also maybe any classes anyone can recommend. Or just places I can shoot out in the open long distance?

Nothing in or around Vancouver. Your looking at least an hour drive.
