There are posts about here,

But in General.

Do you post shooting photos on Social Sites?
To include - FB, Twit, U-Tuby, Snapper etc..

Conservative voices are looking for new platforms, may go back to "blogs",
so are libertine. But what about the hosts which are owned by the powers that be?
ie Blogger is an Alphabet property.

Social Media is being weaponized against us.
When ALL Gun Owners are Shunned

My daughter posted some pics and video of us shooting a few weeks ago on Fakebook and they were all mysteriously deleted a few days later...

I do post gun content on social media. They (Big tech) clearly don't want us on these platforms, so I think its important to remain visible. Use their tools against them to educate.. so at least less folks become anti and maybe some actually become pro.

We cant do that if we're relegated to some dusty corner of the web.

I do post pics on occasion. Kinda depends who is out with me. If its just a routine day, I wont. If its a newbie or someone in town or something then I usually would. I will have to go back and look for previous posts to see of they were deleted.

:D privacy was given up when we signed on to the net, when you bought your latest phone, when you got tv cable so dont' expect that someone isn't watching. If I was on a social network I would fight back and raise hell if they were against my rights.

I had my FB account closed by FB, for a negative remark on Zuckerbergs profile. (Not smart, tons of photos I didn't have back up of my kids) i started another profile and regularly posted what ever I wanted, guns I built, my shooting, target riddled with holes, future guns I planned on purchasing. That account never had any issues but last year I unfriended everyone and left for good after many attempts to get my data from the first account back from FB with no luck.
NWF is my social media. And they delete my comments here regularly :). No freedoms are free any more, not that they ever were. But people today are sheeple, and stand for very little, wont even allow free speech online... bubblegum me running.

I have a FB account, but only use it for contact with friends and family, which isn't very often. I don't post gun stuff there, though my sister posted pics of me teaching my nephew how to shoot. I do Twitter, and I do post about guns there, but so far, I haven't seen any evidence of gun stuff getting squashed on that site - they get a lot of gun related traffic, and I'm sure they're enjoying the revenue.

YouTube is probably the big one for me. That's where I go for how to videos on things like building an AR, disassembling/reassembling guns, black powder stuff, reviews, news, etc. If they really restrain that info, it's going to be hard to replace unless someone comes up with a better platform, one that can support those videos with the proper bandwidth, etc.

Thankfully this site is here, but the reach is really limited primarily to the PNW. That said, it's still an important site to have available and certainly something the basstards at FB, YT, etc. don't have any control over. All the more reason to contribute and keep it going.

This is my main social media...But I do have a blog that is seriously in need of updating.
( Its about muzzleloading surprise , surprise...:D )

As for using other media to post about firearms...
I would if:
It could be worded or pictured in a positive light...
And remembering to reply to all comments in a positive , non confrontational manner.

As much as I have been "flamed" for saying this...I will say it again:
When you are seen out and about , doing anything with a gun , you at that time represent all firearm owners.
It pays to be careful with how you present yourself as a gun owner for all of us.

Step back. Social networking along with the convenience of technology has gone full circle. All them gun manuals were a sign of the past. Maybe it's time to dust them off. In that respect, what has really changed? We have (or are about too) out of sheer convenience of convenience. I think we have the start to a vast repository amongst the contributors to build a library. Hmm

Social networks like fake book and twitter etc are the epitome of socialist that use political correctness to control people. If you like that they know everything about you, your family and friends and use that information against you then what have you got to lose, your freedom? People give up their freedom all the time and its' nothing new, problem is the blood and treasure it takes to get freedom back.

Should Social Media be classified as a "Common Carrier" and regulated?

I am opposed to regulation myself. But this is an option.

I would rather see P0rnHub, YouP0rn, etc. fill the bill as a server host
and then some open source apps to get us what we like to use - web pages, photo hosting, forum discussions, mail lists etc.

If you go to a Blog, or a web site - will your host be non-caring as to the content?
Will you write the code all yourself? Or will you have to agree to stuff the server app forces upon you.
Xenfro - the software Joe uses for NWFA - could they say their software can't be used for the sale of firearms?

How about the net neutrality folks? Could they block such traffic?

Honestly, until Disney (ABC), CBS, NBC take guns off of prime time, I won't believe they are serious.
