majority of those living there now don't t have sense enough to try voting other than D because they're too controlled by propaganda and media to think for themselves, fearful they have been wrong all along

Growing up in SoCal, LA, Watts, Compton in the 80s-90s I had a car with a bullet ricochet on the trunk and knew people with bullet holes in their house. Recovery is not quick. The worse it gets the longer it takes.

It's a perfect storm of apathy and peer pressure. People I've known for 20 yrs plus from all backgrounds and walks of life are saying things and behaving like nothing in the past.

While most of us have gained financial status since our youth we got here by sticking with our morals, religion and education. We take a huge step backwards when we ignore what makes us successful.

No one is listening to actual common sense even with factual evidence. America, once home of the brave is now home of screeching mobs demanding social justice in the face of actual justice. Good grief.

In OR most stores have policies not to do anything about shoplifters. Look at these scums stealing 1000's of dollars worth of wire at Keizer OR Lowe's Fe:

The criminals know there won't be any police response or consequences and no one will do anything.

Some local nextdoor report examples:

Current booking rules don't allow them to put people in jail. According to the sheriffs deputy that was running for Sheriff, multnomah county jails are only 60-70% full yet they aren't allowed to jail anyone (I assume the most violent criminals are jailed but I know if someone breaks into your home they are not jailed).

Another example is this car thief who was confronted by a homeowner and again no jail time despite being arrested 6 times since January. Getting caught and arrested is just a minor inconvenience for them and that is all.
