While many of us that visit this site know what that is, and see it in the context of being part of a WW2 collection.... the casual observer might not. Worst case someone will see it as a shrine surrounded by evil black assault rifles... and may assume that we gun people are a bunch of crazed white supremacists, and use it in their anti gun campaign.
I'm not saying it's right, In fact its a bloody shame. I find all WW2 artifacts from all sides fascinating... but considering all that we are up against right now, a little descression might be prudent. Even just a short explanation with the post explaining the giant swastica to anybody that might not understand the historic significance.

You really shouldn't, but ignorance is the antis best weapon. The only way to stop ignorance is through education. To share history is to educate. And you my friend, have one hellofa classroom full of some of the most fascinating pieces of WW2 history there.

I think the truly important thing that is totally being missed here is the fact that I correctly identified the article not as a flag, but as the vertical stabilizer of (either) a Focke-Wulf (or a Messerschmitt) fighter plane, about 10 posts upthread.

So what I want to know now is, what do I win? I want my prize… Where is my Participation Trophy!!!??? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
