Here's one I've been chipping away at restoring.... I got it last year in a lot of "parts" but it apeared to be mostly complete. Alas $50 to Numrich and it's a shooter again... I've been threatening it with a strip down and refinish. I just picked up the period correct scope and mount that it was drilled for at the albany show last weekend, and now I'm somewhat motivated to get er done. The stock has beautiful grain, and the metal isn't deeply rusted anywhere, so it should be a beauty when I'm done.

Not sure my guns are along the lines of what I see posted, but I'll give this a try anyway. I'm into 1800's single shot rifles, especially schuetzen rifles. But I like almost any single shot rifles from the pre WWI era back.

This one is an early first year 1875 Marlin Ballard #7 Long Range rifle in .44-100 Ballard caliber. The scope is a French made 60x long range rifle spotting scope. Both designed for Creedmoor style matches.

Another Marlin Ballard, and also a 1875 mfg. gun. It was reworked into a 3 barrel set by famous gunsmith and barrel maker HM Pope. The 3 barrels are .32-40, .28 Pope Special, and .22WCF. The tools in this set are Pope false muzzle starter, Pope lube pump, Pope re-decapping tool, Winchester scope, and Winchester loading tools for the .32-40 and .22 WCF. The takedown system was patented by HM Pope in 1882, and this is the only known 3 barrel set. This gun was owned by LG Pridy who was a member of the 1919 Denver Rifle Club team that set the World indoor record that year.

A Ballard Schuetzen custom rifle built by George C Schoyen Denver, Co. in the late 1800's. It is in caliber .32-40 Ballard. Equipped with a Fecker 12x target scope, and midrange sights. Bird's eye maple stocked. Pope style grip adapter to the Ballard lever.

Try not to get too jealous. Work hard... set goals... save your pennies, and one day you too can own a HiPoint 995.
But for now you can drool over mine:s0121:
