I've stayed in the Luxor there looking out over that area, facing the airport. It is FAR. Several hundred yards I'd say.

The cyclic rate was not that of a full auto weapon. Only a thought some of the shots sounded like they may have been fired from a Semi-Auto AK 7.62X39 type weapon. But IMO, he was just rapidly pulling the trigger. Just for an example, I have several Rock River Two Stage Triggers and the "Reset" on them is amazing time wise for consecutive shots. He also could have had some Bata-Mags which hold 100 rounds.

It also sounded like a second weapon was firing at the same time, or could that have been an echo?

This just ended any chance of the HPA passing. I doubt Congress will deregulate any NFA items in the wake of this tragedy.
Almost perfectly timed.. I dont always wear a tinfoil hat.. But this event was quite literally perfectly timed. Far enough away to increase response time and confuse victims.. Also could be used as an excuse (as seen by hillary) to tie in suppressors and the demonization of them, then there is the supposed "full auto" firearm(s) in question.. or some other new FCG thats on the market today that allows for faster follow up shots or a duel shot upon the release of the trigger.. I dont mean to sound like a conspiracy theorist.. But the more I think about how well it halted HPA, the more questions I have about all this..

Beta doesn't make C-mags for AKs

I don't think he meant any smack toward country music - just recognizing at least the perception that many country music fans tend toward conservatism, Trump support, etc. if a leftist fanatic wanted to take aim at a bunch of good ol boys, who likely celebrate southern America, even the rebel flag, what better event to try and find a bunch of them together than at a country music festival?

We went to the Molalla Buckeroo back in July. All country music (of course) and very, very strong displays of patriotism, the flag and support of military. I'm guessing a lot of conservatives in that crowd.

That's why Mrs. 3M and I go to the Buckaroo every Independence Day.

Like others, I'm shocked and horrified that someone could do something like this. As an amateur student of history, I shouldn't be:(
Sympathy and condolences for the victims and contempt for those like ISIS and Antifa trying to capitalize on it, whether involved or not.
While there's always the possibility of the lone psychotic, this scenario is entirely too "Matt Bracken" for comfort. Especially considering the recent attack by the Bernie supporter against the Republican softball team and the quickly disappeared church shooting by a black Somali (or was it Sudanese?) "dreamer". Not to mention the "fast and furious" efforts by the Obama admin to create anti-2A hysteria by running guns to drug cartels.

The usual suspects can be counted on to diffuse any connection to their preferred (usually leftist) groups and to work overtime to figure out how to punish THOSE WHO DIDN'T DO IT !

To be avoided at all costs would be any effort to return to traditional Christian values.

I agree with the echo.

The reason why the concerts are held in that location is because of how the sounds echo off of the buildings. This also in turn will make it sound like more than one person shooting and effect the way that the rate of fire is perceived. Also one doesn't need a 100 round magazine for it to sound like a hundred rounds. A 75 round drum magazine for an AK will have the same impression of a 60 round pmag or 100 round beta. Unfortunately the only thing we are going to get is a bunch of inaccurate information about the incident until the proper authorities are finished with the investigation. A bump fire is possible if the rifle was an AR or AK platform. The binary trigger is also a possibility. So is a legal full auto rifle or an illegally modified rifle. Without the rifle in our hands it is all speculation. Heck all we know is that it was multiple shots from someone that could have had two different rifles with bump fire stocks and hooking them to some rig setup on his pants and was shooting them both. I will just wait until they release something.

On the behalf of the people that are suffering my thoughts and prayers go out to you!

Just found out that one of my wife's coworkers was there! Her and her husband made it out safe and are just trying to deal with most tragic thing they have ever witnessed first hand.

A good example is also the NFL Players during our National Anthem holding up their arms with fist clenched. Ladies and Gentleman that is not Freedom of Speech. That is the gesture of the Black Panthers as disrespect and represents defiance of America. Most do not know what that gesture represents. I know, because I was in the Army when all the riots broke out and the turmoil involving the Black Panthers in years past. And I was at Chicago with the Army during the Democratic Convention Riots of 1968. It is nothing more than a sign of disrespect and defiance of America IMO. And a definite sign of Moral Compass decay!

That's EXACTLY freedom of speech. Freedom of speech means you're free to disrespect this country. It doesn't matter if you or I don't like it, they have the FREEDOM to do it.

Get a load of this......

A top lawyer for CBS said she is "not even sympathetic" to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because "country music fans often are Republican," when discussing the tragic mass shooting that occurred in Las Vegas late Sunday night.

Hayley Geftman-Gold, the network's vice president and senior counsel, took to Facebook after a gunman opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, killing at least 58 people and sending more than 500 others to hospitals.

"If they wouldn't do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs [sic] will ever do the right thing," Geftman-Gold wrote in a now-deleted message that was first reported and captured by The Daily Caller.

Geftman-Gold continued: "I'm actually not even sympathetic bc [sic] country music fans often are Republican gun toters [sic]."

Scary stuff. Glad they got out OK. The fenced in part I heard is what would scare me. I don't like crowds anyway. Even less now.

Yes off course......unless your employer says you will loose your job if you do........and nobody has the right to be heard. This NFL (which I have never had any interest in) problem is one of management. They let it go too long without dealing with it.......now, they will loose millions of dollars and a permanent loss of fan base over it.

If she really did this a couple things will happen. Her account will be shut down first. Then will either be claims it was not her or she will start in with the "this is not me………………". Next she will be fired so I hope she enjoyed that job. This is assuming they can't claim and prove she was hacked or such.

We need to allow her freedom of speech and shut of the funds to pay her wages........that is our right too.

There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said here. A tragedy. Awful.
