I just got a phone call from my mom. We had 3 family members at the concert. All are ok and on their way back to 29. 1 of my cousins friends took a bullet to the head. I dont know if shes dead yet. She called my aunt while the gunfire was going on and losing her bubblegum. Ill update further as I learn more from family
As a psych nurse, I fear the sane, more than the insane. No you're right. This was a sane individual with a pop gun.My bad.
I fear that we have gone too far for that to happen. We (conservatives) are always the party doing the reaching. It seldom gets us anywhere. We need to do a better job of representing who we are, what and why we believe in. Many off us hide with our heads down....so much that we feel that we are a minority and bad in some way. It is a myth......the left has always been a minority, a loose assemblage of crazy groups that scatter like roaches when the light comes on them. We need to teach our families, friends and aquaintenaces why our ideas always work and be more up front about them. It is many times difficult but very important to the future of out society.Amen... This is not about gun control, it's about division, each and every day we become further and further divided as Americans. If this nation is serious about stopping these incidents, then reach across the abyss, heal the divisions, restore us to One Nation, rather than splintered groups with their own interests and agendas...
The point being the shooter showed NO signs of having any problems. No you're right. This was a sane individual with a pop gun.My bad.
"We are completely dumbfounded," he said. "We can't understand what happened."
Paddock said his brother was "just a guy" and had retired to Nevada because he liked gambling.
"We're lost," Paddock said. "I don't understand. It makes just no [sense]."
The tragic truth of this is some weekends in Chicago there are that many killings.......off course.....that (and those kind of cities) are managed and controlled by the left wing. So, by the simple numbers.....most people are OK. The press has become weary of reporting gang and drug related killings......as evil as this incident is it pales in comparison to the evil brought to our Country by drugs and gangs. I have less of a problem with them shooting each other but they are lousy shots and kill way to many innocent bystanders.I have a good friend in Vegas, who is ok and his family is ok.
Simply not being able to get a hold of him all morning brought me down this morning, I was on the break of tears trying to ensure that he and his family were ok.
This event just plain sucks.
No better words, evil sucks.
A simple like isn't enough.......your comments are incredibly well reasoned and stated. All I can say is my heart is torn ... My prayers and thoughts for the victims of the Las Vegas shooting massacre. I also pray our freedoms and liberties are not stripped from us because of vicious madmen like this piece of human excrement. The man who carried out this act obviously was well trained, had it pre-planned and well orchestrated. As well, the open-air concert in this paricular location was a death trap that could have resulted in many casualties in a variety of other ways than a sniper shooting from a hotel window. The media coverage of this event will inspire terrorist groups like ISIS as they can see how vulnerable we are. If a 15 year old kid can detonate a bomb in England and kill dozens of people, the same and even worse possibly can happen here. All people can do is scream and demand new laws which will only make our society less safe and less free in the long run.
There was not a single police officer present at a concert of 22,000? Seriously, that is the greatest crime here that they did not even consider any security measures in this day and age of terrorism. Believe me though, a madman like this would have carried out his heinous acts even if they made guns illegal. The fully automatic weapons he had were illegal anyway or not readily available since they have been banned since 1986. To be honest, with an open-air concert with clear shot from any hotel window like this, even a well-trained person with a hunting rifle could probably have killed 100s of people. This man was far from an expert marksman, as the death rate could have been even higher if he was.
My heart is torn from the innocent people who have suffered and died. As well, now the Demon-crats will use this opportunity to strip the rights away of law-abiding citizens. The same Demon-crats who give rocket propelled grenade launchers and fully automatic weapons to the Mexican drug cartels and protect, aid and abet the many more homicidal maniacs, gangs, criminals, illegal immigrants in our country.

Get a load of this......
A top lawyer for CBS said she is "not even sympathetic" to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because "country music fans often are Republican," when discussing the tragic mass shooting that occurred in Las Vegas late Sunday night.
Hayley Geftman-Gold, the network's vice president and senior counsel, took to Facebook after a gunman opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, killing at least 58 people and sending more than 500 others to hospitals.
"If they wouldn't do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs [sic] will ever do the right thing," Geftman-Gold wrote in a now-deleted message that was first reported and captured by The Daily Caller.
Geftman-Gold continued: "I'm actually not even sympathetic bc [sic] country music fans often are Republican gun toters [sic]."
Having lived in Chiraq (aka Chicago), it has always been this way for more than 50 years. The only difference is that the media is now using it to promote the agenda of whoever pays them to report it. It is a huge distraction for them to erode away at our rights, freedoms, and liberties. You have an atrocity like this take place and bank on the emotional state of people from an atrocity of this caliber to benefit their own agenda. We need to unify ourselves instead of being manipulated into the BS they are cramming down our throats! The tragic truth of this is some weekends in Chicago there are that many killings.......off course.....that (and those kind of cities) are managed and controlled by the left wing. Lastly, the 'hispanic' woman that disrupted the concert screaming you're all going to die, some 45 min before the shooting starts.
That was not my meaning exactly and I revised the post.I take offense to that comment.
It could not have been any of us.
Local Vegas NBC station was runing an interview with an eyewitness.Link?
