Though perhaps not applicable to the OP situation, some interesting counterpoints on the topic of price gouging:

Good articles (I assume - haven't finished reading) but (as you may have noted) there is a difference between buying up an extreme amount of supplies such that many other people are left without needed supplies, then charging an exorbitant price, and transporting supplies from a place where they are plentiful and cheap, to a place where they are non-existent.
