I was going to make a SBR Purchase but ATF Says they won't even form 3 transfer to dealers Until after June 12th.
It would have been nice to have the gun at the dealer so I could at least form form 4 it on the 12th

One more month gentlemen! I'm signed up for efile... I just hope that form 1 is back up at 12:01, 6/12.

BTW, when you e file, is the form 1 filled out online or is it the standard PDF that is filled out and attached? How is the trust submitted? Uploaded PDF I hope?

Eform 1 is filled out online, trust is submitted as uploaded PDF or Word file. Unless of course they end up changing it once they get it working again.

Hopefully for efile. But that depends on the ATF definition of "soon."

Otherwise, you can start filling out the paper form now.

Good point... it's definitely not outside the realm of possibility that the eform site won't be taking F1 on 6/12. I guess I better have the paper version pre-filled and an envelope pre+addressed just in case. I want to submit my stuff as early as humanly possible...

I wonder if they'll accept my change of address for my SBRs that are at my brother's place in Oregon (Trust). It takes them a few weeks and you can set a future date. I wonder if they'll approve it for after the 12th?

nope, no updates. The worst thing that can happen if you apply is that they'll reject your app. I'm submitting 3 form ones at 8:00am on 6/12....the minute the PO opens!! Glock 34, M92 PAP, and Thompson TM1. This is gonna kick bubblegum.

9 months, ha! An optimist! I'm guessing a year. MI recently legalized both SBS and SBR...and now WA is coming on line with SBR at a time of record backlogs? Yeah, I'll be lucky to get a stamp by the end of 2015!

Still, the current ban has been in place for so long that the day it's lifted and we can submit paperwork is worthy of a celebration IMO. Yeah, it will take a long time to get the actually goodies...but at least we can see the light at the end of the tunnel from here!

Good points. I'm contemplating an SBR, but not sure I want to tie up the cash for a year.
