I think I am going to register one and make a stock for it. Sane? Probably not. Funny? Yes. Useful? Doubtful.

But I think I might.

Actually also considering adding pre 20th century style stocks to some single action revolvers. Probably a wire based stock reminiscent of a marbles or a wood carbine stock like I have seen on colts.

Why not. With it being free I don't see any downside. Accuracy will improve no question. May or may not be more fun. You won't know until you try it. If it were me I would get a wood stock and then make it fit the frame. Wouldn't be hard but would take some time. Might have to start with full length stock and chop off the front so you are starting with a clean block to cut into for the frame. Take off stocks from AKs and others etc are dirt cheap and were done in large quantities so there are a lot of them around. I bought a Vepyr thumbhole stock and forend that was new for $25 total for example and modified it to fit on my lynx 12 shotgun that comes with synthetic stock. Probably lots of pump shotgun take off stocks around also I woudl think.

A fun project no doubt...and why not.

With that said...
The NAA having such a short barrel...then with a stock...having the short barrel near your face / eyes when firing might be uncomfortable.

I'm waiting on @Andy54Hawken to SBR a Hawken.
I have....:D

Once long ago...
I came across a Lyman Great Plains Rifle that had a bulge near the muzzle of the barrel.
( 32 inch barrel )

So...getting it at good price...
I set about re-working it.
Shorten the barrel to around 25 inches....
"Antiqued" the wood and metal...added some real brass tacks...and a rawhide wrap "repair" at the wrist....
Damn thing looked like a movie prop....:D

Played with it for about a year....then traded it off for the Fowler shown below.
Still have , still shoot and hunt with the Fowler....good trade.
