sometimes i dont know if were ready or not were all in a state of panic becouse this p.o.s that was elected now says we can no longer have certain types of fire arms when it clearly says we have a right to bare arms bare them means to carry . then why do we allow the goverment to make us pay for a conceal permit. its our right ... we keep letting them take away more of our rights there taking more money by taxes when or how can we make a stand?? im 54 years old and im very dissapointed in my government . and the way we have become as a nation... survival? if we keep doing what we have been doing and keep taking it up the azz then we wont have to worry about it much longer. i just had to vent guys i have the food /guns generater and the lot. but i dont like seeing my country turn the way it hasGod bless the good ones out there

one good thing we can do is to educate other sheeple in our lives, if you find one that is numb or you think they think "every thing will be ok, the gooberment will take care of us" try a little harder if no warm fuzziness move along. kindalike selling amway.

Turn them away. If you have tried your best to persuade them to prep and they chose to ignor or mock then it is their own fault for being in the situation they're in. This is where some may find that they are not truly prepped in the fact that they will need to turn away many. It may sound cold but what if you help and dwindle your own supply that was meant for your family when it lasts longer than you expected.

    Hang tight brother!

Just because the president's main-stream media gives the appearance that we have been maligned, doesn't make it true. I believe there are a lot of people who feel the same way we do; the multi-billion-dollar prepping/2A industry proves it!

Can anyone tell me if the leftist currently have a multi-billion-dollar industry that is thriving because of what we are doing (besides the government who is using our money)? Are there any suppliers who sell leftist products running out of merchandise? Hell, the TV they produce is even free, the left can't even sell their products, and the government has to force us to buy their products (like building permits). The left has to give free phones (paid for by our universal fees). The majority of the "left's" customers live in government housing, they don't have any money, and they stampede themselves on black Friday over shoes......they are powerless without the nanny-state.

We should be using their energy to "judo-throw" them onto the mat.

The reality is hidden in plain sight; we will prevail!

X2 Deadeye; one of my neighbors pays other people to do just about everything for him, including prep; all those people see what he has, he brags to make himself a big-shot, and they talk, and that makes my neighbor an easy target.

Yes it might suck now but in a few years it will change like it always does. This is a cycle that we all go through no matter what side your on.

But I do know this. I have been to over 20 countries and have seen lots of things. But more that I am home all the time I thank God every night for being here.

There are so many places you could be but I bet if you have been where I have been you would be happy.

There is no better place to be than here and I understand your thoughts but in most other places you do not have a say in anything.

Hang in there, it will be over soon..;)

In mid 30s Germany, it was probably good to be a German too.

It will be OVER alright. As in the end of the Ponzi debt economy and the Clandestine Empire that it supports. Get the fork ready, we are almost done.

We had many years riding the money printing Petro dollar scam and for Monopoly money printed out of thin air other countries gave us cars, dvd players and mobile devices up the yahoo. We suckered other nations into accept our crap currency as the reserve currency. Well, that is ending. Our bombs stopped it in Iraq and Libya, but we won't have that luxury with China and Russia - although via WWIII I am sure we will try.

The last 40 years we've lived high on the hog, been on the gravy train, but all of that is coming to an abrupt end. So, if you are a depressed person about the way things are right NOW, you better wise up. These are the LAST of the good times.

The "Scotts" of the world believe since this is America we are somehow immune from collapse. Sorry, but that delusion along with Normalcy Bias will get you a steaming pile of crap.

Scott, this is no longer the best place to be on the planet. This is why there are a lot of countries whose citizens do not even consider moving here. Hell, a French actor who decided to bail on France and that nation's new higher taxes did not pick the US - he picked Russia.
That is how far we have fallen; someone trying to escape socialism chose Russia and not the US.

Think about that one for a while.

It is much easier to start a company in China right now than the USA. That is probably only one of the things I'd agree with Donald Trump about; he's a puke.

In Hong Kong, you get 500mb internet for the equivalent of $25/per month. Pretty much the same thing even in Japan. Many countries are far above us in terms of technology available to the people.

As Peter Schiff so eloquently stated, when the collapse comes, we have the farthest to fall and FALL we will. His "Peter Schiff Island" via explains why on the global train we are the caboose. A nicer way of saying we are the world's parasites.
We export all we can export right now, the same thing any dying empires exports as it is expiring - war and death.

Other countries aren't buying up billions of rounds of ammo and putting drones in the sky to go to war with their own people.

I gotta love the sheep. Til the day they are starving in a corner somewhere sucking their thumb they'll believe the ridiculous and speak lunacy with their last, dying breath.

Skip to 00:40. Speaking to the 2% here, that can still THINK. Pay special attention to what is said at the 04:56 mark about our fake economy since 1971. That is when the dollar ponzi really kicked in to high gear. When we went off the gold standard and handed the nation lock, stock, and barrel to the banksters and their fiat currency scam.

    Burt,

You ever think about moving someplace where you won't have as far to fall?

The one thing I can tell you definitively is that nature hates a vacuum, and that anything that creates a vacuum will inevitably fail. However if you look at history, the main export of dying empires is gold and tribute, because they are unable to defend themselves and instead prefer to pay off their enemies. Happened with the western and eastern roman empires, a weakness Atilla the Hun exploited to great effect.

It seems your material shows a lot of selection bias, do you ever read anything that doesn't involve imminent economic collapse? I've personally found it pretty easy to start a manufacturing business in washington.

This is a good thread; taking all these opinions into consideration I can see one particular question which has prevailed (although hidden in text).

What comes after a post-industrial society?

I don't believe anyone has the answer for the nation. We can go back hundreds or even thousands of years and name the eras from hunter/gatherer forward.

Whatever our next era will be called; how will the basic tenets of life be any different?

I don't think anyone can guarantee or say for certainty what our nation's goal is; all we have is a dirty pool-playn political "leadership" who believes redistributing wealth from the private sector is the answer, a leadership which spews Reductio ad Absurdum (cut police & fire, save the social programs) into a teleprompter.

He is just talking trash and making a lot of people "jump".

That is why we find ourselves in this thread; preparing for the worst also means doing what is best for our nation; which currently means the goal of self-sufficiency-not leaning too heavily upon each other, and I think we are heading in that particular direction.

    Ubermensch!

    Burt,

I am not immune from anything and just because I don't sit in my basement in my underwear and read and write the sky is falling everyday does not make me a sheep. Far from a sheep.

I been reading your posts of immediate doom and how the US sucks
Why are you still here? There is nothing here but the heavens crashing down on us and everybody will starve to death.

Why are you not leaving if we are so stupid? I would leave if I believed like you of the impending doom.

I would rethink who you call a sheep you may be one yourself

A lot of people called people crazy for saying the 2nd amendment was to keep Government in check. At least with all this gun grabbing going on, a lot more people are realizing the people that were saying, it aren't so crazy. Some are waking up, so at least some good is coming out of everything. No one can be completely prepared, but at least people are noticing things now, which is a good step

The answer is, that there really is no place to run to. The only places on this planet that do not have completely oppressive governments lack security from private criminal gangs which is even worse.
Until we reach the level of technology that lets us get off this rock and travel to another part of the galaxy and settle on a virgin planet, we are stuck. Ironically, even if we were able to go off to another planet and start over again with only like minded individuals, in a relatively short period of time we would screw it up anyway. Such is human nature. We're nothing but heard animals always willing to follow the next leader.

The more likely scenario in the future is a devastating event here on Earth such as a polar shift (they have happened before). Probably not in our lifetime, so there really isn't a huge reason to sweat that one.

TPTB already have that covered with their underground 'cities' such as huge, advanced facilities underground in Norway. Bill Gates is all signed on. He is, however, probably by far the poorest person to be set to move in if required.

They don't need to go off to another planet. They have everything stored up (massive seed supplies, etc) to rebuild everything the way they like it.

Plus they have hoarded so much technology in the last 150 years to themselves, convincing the sheep they really need to be driving around in gas piston automobiles, 125 year old tech, so they can control an energy source for it (oil). Everything you dreamed about as a little kid in terms of technology (think Back to the Future II) is real, but you just can't have it) and it is in fact all there. Free energy, anti grav, wireless energy, the end to diseases, etc.

That means the most intelligent and talented will be the ones to survive, but they are also have something in common. They are all elitist, heartless pricks in the worst way; a blight on humanity.

Dick Cheney once flubbed up in front of the cameras after the staged 911 attacks. He was asked 'what will happen if Washington is wiped out by an attack and we don't have a central government." He responded by saying 'don't worry, there is an entire secondary underground (literal) government ready to kick in and take over in a minute's notice if that is necessary." You know, good ol' Dick "the order still stands" Cheney. The order still stood to for the Pentagon defense system to stand down while the 'airplane' was headed to the Pentagon.

Things are not what they seem in the Matrix. What the average American believes is reality is just scripted nonsense. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be among the elite Euro families as they chuckle about how gullible and deluded, how easily deceived, the masses really are. Like babies with rattles.

The same strategists and scammers will eventually trash the 2A because Americans are too gullible and naive to figure out that they are the ones behind all the current BS. We once stood up to the British Oligarchs that still own America and they have never forgiven us for that. Their payback is coming.

True but I am not a herd animal as well :) :) :) :) The only person I follow is myself or some very good friends.

I have seen a lot like I said and there are places I would go to. That's the pleasure of traveling. Lots of good places out there.

Plus if we could go to Mars it would end up just like the States in 300 years :) :)

I originally posted a very grim scenario of my intentions should the above happen. I removed it because it was at a level of hostile that seemed inappropriate for this basically friendly website. I try to be a good man. I give of myself in both time and money to those who must live with misfortune. I am also a realist so, rest assured, I have changed my post but not plans.
