Powerfull enough to kill an elephant

Many centerfire rifles can kill an elephant if you shoot it enough times. Poaches in Africa use AKs and other rifles to poach large game, including elephants. It probably takes quite a while for the elephant to die too. As you note, this does not make the rifle all that powerful.

There is an anecdotal story going around of a professional hunter who killed an elephant with a .22 rimfire.

We should remember that mastodons and wooly mammoths were eliminated from the N. American continent by aboriginal hunters using arrow and spears and probably even rocks.

...and also major freezing events. Wooly mammoths keep turning up in thawing tundra regions from thousands of years ago. You know, because all of the SUV's back then caused global warming, which also caused global freezing.

Some one on the news excitedly reported that the SKS used in the baseball shooting was powerfull enough to kill an elephant.

Just another uneducated and feeble attempt to mislead the public.
How could this crazed gunman get his hands on an Elephant Gun ?

We all know the big Woolly Mammoths were gunned into extinction by rich time patrol big game hunters using .50 cal M2 heavy machine guns. I do not know if they kept the meat.

I was told by a farmer out here that bovine and horses don't take electricity very good at all,so that wasn't a great representation of the things usefulness.
That's why electric fences work so well

Go to Box of truth on YT and see how easy boolits go thru car doors. The vid he did was after,I believe,someone asked if hiding behind a car door worked. The 308 went thru both sides
