Permanantly attached suppressor?

I read somewhere that you can permanently attach a larger vented tube (think FF handguard style) to the barrel and that will make the legal barrel length. And then you just buy a screw on suppressor and screw it onto the barrel (inside the shroud). This allows you to not have to permanently attach the suppressor, therefore making the suppressor useful on more than 1 gun.

Any thing PERMANENTLY (per ATF specs) attached to the barrel IS counted as length. That is exactly what the Tacsol SBX barrels are.

Personally I think most of them are ugly so that would not be an option for me. How you set it up all depends on what it is you want to do and how much you want to spend.
