A few elk were killed opening morning in the deep canyons but we covered a lot of ground and never even saw a fresh track in four days.
there were 5 inches of snow on the ground when we arrived two days before the hunt and by The third day the temperature was in the 70s and ground was dry.

Dang! Well at least theres a few there i guess! Went and scouted the unit out earlier in the year and saw multiple cows but didn't get our eyes on any bulls. Thank you!

I will be over there in the Deadhorse Ridge area the end of August when archery season starts.

Thats one of the many spots i have marked on OnX! I'll be out there mid August looking for a bear and scouting out some more areas
