The story is correct that if it was stopped by some citizen with his gun, the press will ignore at least that part of it. from the description here it sounds a lot like it was some kind of domestic situation. Like maybe some guys ex was with her current and he wanted to take them out them himself.

Yep the only reason Wal-Mart even comes up is they are a big name. The headline is supposed to make people think it was in a store again. If it had been a parking lot for almost any other store the name of the store would not matter.
