A Springfield Armory XDS subcompact in .45 ACP followed me home today. I think I'm gonna like this one.

Got it home, broke it down, cleaned it, inspected it, lubed it up and it's ready for some range time.

Congrats! They're great compact 45's no doubt about it!

If I'm not carrying my commander, then it's usually the XDs in a Bianchi 100T, appendix carry... Disappears under a t-shirt without issue... Just wear tee's 1 size larger..

Thanks for the info on the holster! I've been kind of looking this evening for a simple holster (I'm partial to paddle types) that I can put a second mag on.
Being my XDs setup is not my primary, I took a more economical path...
Here's a couple of holster options:
1) Bianchi Professional 100T
2) Bianchi Professional 100
3) Blackberry Curve 8660 carrier for 2 5 round magazines. Works well once you epoxy the belt clip into a stationary position.

Nice mag pouch @nammac, reminds me of my iPhone case. Sleek and elegant.

@SA Shooter have fun with that. Light, portable and compact.

It will make you toughen up your grip real quick. (I have shot a buddy's and my scar tissue got pissed off quick in my thumb web).

Thanks, guys. I'm gonna bust it's cherry tonight. ;)

Dyjital - I demo'd one last weekend and I gotta agree...I am gonna feel it until I get used to it. However, my 4" .357 hammers me harder, just in different spots than this one will.

Well...first range report. It doesn't like SJHP rounds yet, at least not the Hornady Critical Defense rounds. They are all over the target at 25 feet. Somehow I forgot to take a pic of the target before I tossed it. doh...

Seems to like Fiocchi 230 gr FMJ the best but it still needs some breaking in so I'll reserve judgement at this point. I have a couple of boxes of Federal Premium Hydra-Shok JHP 165gr rounds I'd like to try after I run another 200 rounds or so of cheaper FMJ through it.
