Glad that is settled now!
I had an Irish Wolfhound / bull masstif mix that looked pretty close. He was 6'4" on his back legs. His coat would have smelled like that one if I missed cleaning up his logs.
I would shoot it too wild or home....that animal looks fast and stong..looks like a dog.check it for a chip?
I would have used the .338 on it.
Yeah, should see the clown spiders and clown snakes. When we have pets, they're more efficient than your earth pets.
I found this mysterious critter in my house.
I think you clowns just grab up pets from Australia. Everything there is murderous, insane, or both.
Nah, too tame for us.
Wolf/ dachshund hybrid?
Or one of these
Looks a bit like this
The legendary Wolfbeardoodle?
Mysterious wolf-like creature killed in Montana ID'd through DNA test Mysterious wolf-like creature killed in Montana ID'd through DNA test
It was fluffy! Guess he ran away.
@clearconscience Thanks for the update, was curious about the outcome
I’m surprised they actually came out with an outcome. Usually you never hear about it again
LOL...totally. I figured it was just going to be one of life’s big mysteries
Possible Wolf Coyote cross, that scruffy coat suggests the animal wasn't healthy, Wolf / Dog crossing as well is possible. DNA should solve the mystery. The lab should be able to crank it out in fairly short order. I'd suggest 2 to 4 weeks tops!
See the link in post #51
I did after I posted my guess!
And the results are in, just another grey wolf.
Obviously a coverup of the real story.
