The inventor of the 1911 "Spec" guns from first, Kimber and now even Colt. Also an AR trigger that is reportedly quite crisp. And, one of his last: the "railed" 1911 magazines with rolled edge double feed lips.

CMC mags became my benchmark for affordable functioning 1911 mags. It seems kinda fitting now that Wilson Combat bought the CMC mags out (another 1911 gun icon Bill Wilson...) and I think can still be purchased from Wilson Combat as their 920 series mags.
