Anyone seen the news?
Marlin is moving to a more business friendly state, not closing.
Guess that means they won't be coming to Oregon.
Or Washington. Last year the legislature removed a tax exemption for the only mint left in WA.. they sure helped to bring in more revenue, the mint has moved to Nevada!
Pathetic, ignorant greedy libtards
No, it's the buisnesses that are greedy!! They want to actually KEEP part of the money they earn!! Can you believe the nerve?!
I guess they haven't signed on to the redistribution agenda yet. Don't they understand that there are lots of folks in the inner cities that don't work and need funds!!!!
what is this, free money? :woot:
Anyone know where they are moving to?
Hopefully Idaho. My guess they are following Ruger and moving to Arizona. But that is my guess, but then Montana, Wyoming, Nevada would also be great gun friendly states to move to.
They were bought by Remington last year. As part of any takeover consolidation Marlin is closing its Connecticut plant and keeping its North Carolina plant. The issue has more to due with the labor union in New Haven than anything else.. They will continue to make products right here in the US of A, just no longer in New Haven.
Marlin is currently head-quartered in Madison, North Carolina. There is no indication that the production of Marlin rifles will be halted production will likely be shifted to Freedom Group factories in other states probably in the Southeast.
I understand that Marlin is moving to Ilion, NY to the Remington owned plants at that location for manufacturing.
It's OBAMA MONEY... from his STASH!! :woot:
Wow, that scared me! I love Marlin. If they were closing I'd have to start looking for some spare cash to pick up some lever actions quick!
