Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Make sure to call Liberty and verify what chemicals you can use because I was wrong, there are some chemicals you can't use. But yeah, soaking in Kroil is what they recommended when I called and what they said they'd use if you send it to them.
They also said to clean it more often, especially if using .22lr. I have to clean mine every couple hundred to keep it easy, go more than that and it gets harder and harder. Also it seems running it wet, then dry and not cleaning it for a while makes it even harder to clean.
Glad to hear you got it apart though, and that Liberty's system worked.
I wonder if using Kroil in the sonic cleaner is an issue? I can't imagine it being one as it was the regular chemicals that come with them that were the issue.
