The problem is the liability attached to it. I'd rather pay an FFL $25 to assume all liability with running a BGC rather than saving $25 and doing it myself.

If something like this ends up happening, the police go to the FFL, not to you.

Buying guns on 18th birthday then mass shooting right after is probably going to lead to min age of 21 for purchase possibly, whether in TX or in other states. It's just so easy for poeple to point a finger at it due to the timing. I think they could get that though unfortunately.

Also another example of someone using common sense and violence of action instead of running the play that some toad in admin wrote.

It definitely demonstrates the conviction of some individuals to do the right thing no matter the personal risk. But it also demonstrates an unfortunate inconsistency of action between two different law enforcement agencies.

Apparently, there were multiple times before the shooter made it to the school, when this all could have been prevented. Did I read that the shooter was involved in an altercation with police when he wrecked his car a block from the school? What happened there? Instead it was one border patrol agent who wasn't even in his jurisdiction who made the decision to go in and stop this instead of following the sit an wait playbook while more kids were killed. Bravo to the border patrol agent. Can't say the same for any other officer who chose to stand by or stand down.

This appears to have been a mistake. The suspects grandfather is the felon.

Since Reyes is a felon, it is illegal for him to live in a house with firearms. Reyes said he would have turned his grandson in.

Many families were just torn apart. The gravity of that is immense. This topic is sensitive by default and where BS tangents would normally be ignored…here, they will be knocked out and repeated attempts to throw this thread will earn an inability to contribute further.

Did you know, by putting up a NO GUNS SIGN, a magical force field is created keeping the bad guys out? Did you know, a law restricting lawful citizens from carrying a concealed weapon on school property prevents the bad guys from doing so also?

Yet liberal cowards keep removing school resource officers so their conditioned children will not get triggered by seeing a person in uniform trying to keep them safe. Their choice... put our children in direct danger.

Unfortunately, we live in a world that schools need better security, actual armed security personal onsite and at the very least they should be monitoring and controlling their access points, but nope, can't ruin their utopia ideal that laws, and more laws, and magical signs is all we need. An 18 year old should have never made it into the school unchecked.

We have the ability to stop school shootings, but we'd rather do nothing and make it easier for the bad guys.
