Actually, it's just my first revolver, I have a semiauto 9mm already. Might end up being the first pistol my girlfriend shoots though! And no, I'm not going to sneak in a .357 in the middle of the .38s, I want to keep her as my girlfriend, lol!

I bought a 66-2 with a 4" barrel from Gun Broker, Clackamas about 3 years ago for $500. It's also a stainless that's been polished to a jewelry finish. It really looks nice with the stock walnut grips. I would swear it's had a trigger job done on it, but maybe not from the other comments I've heard here. Even DA is smooth as butter with a very clean break. This is one of those "I'll never sell it" guns. You did good!

Smart man. Get her started out on a .22 if you can. It's how I start even my more experienced students because it gives me a very quick and accurate assessment of their fundamentals. for brand new shooters, I find that the .22 followed by a full-sized 9mm is an easy transition.

For a hint, start her shooting from a sitting position, ideally, with a .22. Even with a 9mm (which will produce excess recoil) this is an easier start than standing, as stance and grip become more complicated when they START from a standing position.
