The People . . . THE PEOPLE you say. Their leaders, so called, couldn't care less about the people!?!?!?!?!
Not that much different from the leaders of the three states bordering the Pacific!!!!!

We are still quite a ways away from that, but we are headed in the general direction. It's too bad the many thousands of people out protesting President Trump's inauguration a year ago aren't able to read what's been happening in Venezuela for the last 20+ years. And where they sit now, as a result of socialism. But I would imaging they would just figure "That wouldn't happen to us!"

It's not a hole, it's a mountain.. and you know what rolls downhill. dumb bastards

Good a fresh bubblegumming supply of sandbags!

I like that. Stomper, you would have my vote

If elected, I would need a new purchase order for the appropriation of more missiles, because we would run out of them within the first week! ;)

This couldn't be talked about today during a grandparents birthday dinner. There were too many pro-socialist family members present who don't want to argue. Any good ideas on how to bring something like this into a conversation with extreme tact/not offending others with extremely different political viewpoints?

Hmm tough one...

"Anything worth having isn't free..."

"Nothing's free..."

Etc etc However I also lack tact.

Slam dunk their loaded dinner plates into the garbage can and say "This is for Fidel!".
but that's just me

My preps is to sell my house for an obscene profit, and take my retirement pension(s) and other caches of income to the "redoubt" so Oregon cannot leach off any of it, then I'm going to sit back on my (paid for in full) front porch and watch their little "utopia" world burn. ;)
I have the same plan as you
The front porch is important though...I want one with a view...so I can pee off it whenever i like.

First- time and place... grandparent's B-day (or any family get together) is NOT the place.

Second- if someone's mind is made up (even if it's family), don't cast your pearls before (commie) swine. Socialist/communist will use your love against you, especially if they're family. It's a waste of time, and you'll just give yourself a brain aneurism, because you can't fix "stupid".

Third- always be polite, but always have a plan to kill every socialist/communist in the room... ESPECIALLY if they're family.

FYI- I have some major-league proggies in my extended family who are VERY arrogant/condescending and politically active. They're (sadly) among the first on my "list" if civil war broke out..... that's how much I loathe the evil of socialism/communism.

Nice quote I just came acrossed on another forum which has relevance to retort to a sideways dinner conversation...

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." ― Adrian Rogers

I am so tired of the left's lame-o excuse of "not implemented right" in yet another failed Communist state. I guess it wasn't implemented right in the Soviet Union, Albania, Bulgaria, Cuba, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, Yugoslavia, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos, the Congo, Angola, and a bunch of other countries I am forgetting, too. In all of them, the economy didn't work and civil rights violations were the norm. Gee, maybe the system is just pure evil and unworkable? Nope, after a century littered with Communist state terror and eventual failure, the "progressives" think it is still worth a go.
